In the wild, hippos and lions rarely meet each other. That’s because one species lives on land, while the other specializes in soaking in rivers and puddles.

In reality, however, a lion will always be overpowered by hippos, if they are in the same condition, by much more aggressive hippos.

This strange behavior of lions surprises observers, as they rarely do the same. Usually, lions will find a dense grass, under the bushes … to rest their feet, as well as camouflage before the prey.

Choosing a rather inconvenient shelter puts the lion head-to-head with the hippopotamus, one of the most ferocious animals in the world.
It can be seen that the hippopotamus has turned its gaze to the lion, although this animal has no intention of attacking. An adult hippopotamus approached quietly, before jumping onto the rock with its mouth wide open towards the lion.

At this point, everyone must have thought of a war that would break out between the two most powerful animals in Africa, with the hippopotamus as the “igniter”, and the lion – with his bravery, will not give up. through the opponent. However, what happened was completely different.

Witnessing the hippo’s aggressive action, the lion did not have any resistance, but quickly jumped into the water to run away. The pride of the “steppe king” is clearly not enough to help it have the courage to confront the “swamp killer”.
