For wildebeests, birth must take place quickly because this is a dangerous moment and newborn wildebeests are the target of predators. Other antelope species will hide their young, but wildebeest calves must follow their mother from birth.

After birth, baby gazelles only have a few minutes to stand. They can walk in less than 4 minutes and are animals that know how to use their legs faster than any other mammal.
