Buffalo was ambushed by a Nile crocodile while engrossed in drinking water by the riverbank, creating a dramatic fight.

Nile crocodile often grabs large prey with extremely strong teeth, then drags the prey into the water until it suffocates and drowns. According to statistics, this is the species with the strongest bite force in the animal kingdom, about 8 times greater than the bite force of the great white shark.

A dramatic video recording the scene of a wild buffalo encountering a Nile crocodile – a notorious predator in the swamp has made viewers unable to take their eyes off the screen.

In the video, a wild buffalo is engrossed in drinking water by the river, when suddenly a crocodile ambushes and attacks.

Usually, a crocodile’s preferred attack site is the neck of its prey. However, in this case, it was unlucky to only bite the soft skin below the buffalo’s mouth.

This allows the buffalo to regain some of the initiative against an aggressive predator. While it tries to escape the enemy’s control, the crocodile also tries its best to drag its prey into the water. In the end, the two animals created a dramatic hand-to-hand tug of war.

With his strength, the buffalo surprised when he was able to pull the crocodile tape ashore while still being gripped. Attempts to win the life of the prey caused the crocodile to give up because it was too far from the safe water.
