Leopards hiding on a tall tree jump down and take a ‘lightning’ bite to kill the antelope

The leopard hid in the trees to wait for the opportunity to catch the antelope, after a few minutes of stalking it jumped down to take a quick bite to kill the prey.

While engrossed in foraging, the antelope herd unknowingly fell into the gaze of the leopard.

The leopard hid in the trees, so despite being very vigilant, the antelopes still did not detect the predator.

Not possessing high speed like cheetahs, so leopards have to find a way to approach their prey and prepare for a long time to sprint, because if they can’t catch up to prey, the leopard’s hunting trip will become a failure. After a few minutes of stalking, the leopard jumped down from the tree, delivering a fatal bite to the neck of its prey.

The antelope could not resist after the “lightning” action of the leopard and was killed. The leopard then carries the antelope to a safe place to avoid others stealing the bait.

Leopards depend mainly on their keen senses of hearing and sight to hunt. Their lifestyle and food are different from other giant cats. They are capable of hunting in trees as well as on the ground.

The leopard stalks its prey persistently and tries to get as close as possible, and eventually pounces on and kills the prey by suffocating it.
