As soon as the wildebeest baby was born, the hyenas actively approached, this was a rare opportunity for the whole herd of hyenas to get food easily.

Wildebeests live in very crowded herds, which makes it difficult for the hyenas to reach the mother and her baby. So when the hyena herd approaches the young antelope, it is also when it has completed taking its first steps.

The first steps of a young wildebeest are the steps to escape a herd of formidable predators. It ran cunningly to escape the pursuit of the hyenas.

Although the hyena herd had an advantage in numbers, surrounding to capture the young wildebeest, they were still left to breathe dust by the one who had just been born. Clearly, the hyenas are no match for the wildebeest in terms of speed, even for a newly born calf.
